OUR FOUNDER

MEET JOY

Joy Voltaire is a certified Special Education Teacher with over 10 years of experience in the classroom, public and charter school systems. She is the founder of Trendy Educational Services LLC, a company created to empower black families and minority communities with the knowledge, tools, and resources to achieve financial success, bridge the racial wealth gap, and build generational wealth. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education and is currently enrolled in the Nationally Certified Financial Education Instructor Training Program (CFEI). In 2013, She graduated from LAEDA Entrepreneurial Development Training Program in Camden City, NJ.

 Joy has been wholeheartedly pursuing her passion for teaching individuals and family’s effective money-saving techniques such as budgeting, strategic shopping, and thoughtful planning for several years. However, her deep concern for children facing challenges in reading and her unwavering dedication to helping them and their families have always remained close to her heart.


More recently, she founded and played a pivotal role in establishing the Trendy Educational Foundation Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free and affordable financial education to black families and low-income communities. Presently, she is leading a new initiative aimed at addressing the significant educational and wealth gaps in black families and minority communities. Her ultimate objective is to develop programs like LitLadder, granting black and brown children equal access to educational methods, tools, and resources that will enable them to thrive and succeed.

 

Joy is leveraging her past experiences and collaborating with current educators and thought leaders to create an engaging online literacy platform. This platform will serve as a resource for tutoring services and local events. We invite you to join our mission or support our cause today!

WHO WE SERVE

Trendy Educational Services LLC (TES) primarily focuses on serving black families, minorities, and the entire family unit, including children in grades K-12 and adults. Our goal is to address the unique challenges and needs of this specific demographic by providing culturally relevant and relatable financial and educational literacy programs and activities. TES takes a “Holistic Family Approach” in empowering families, to take control of their personal finances and ultimately regain economic power within their communities.
